    Evelyn lodge houses 41 bungalows and 24 flats (6 each in 4 blocks). There is a 1st avenue comprising of 6 bungalows, 2nd av. with 10 bungalows and 3rd av. with 17 bungalows . The main road has 5 bungalows and court road has 3 bungalows.ELRC(Evelyn lodge recreation club) was earlier housed in the so called Palace, and later on shifted to the last bungalow on Ist Avenue. Its greens comprise of Gulmohar trees,mango trees, tamarind trees,bel(wood apple) trees, violet and yellow (bell) trees,neem trees etc. There is a badminton court opp. court road and two tennis courts next to it. A playground with slides and swings was in the centre of the colony. The gravelled road from the old club house to the playgrond had benches to sit on with spider lilies growing all around. The football ground happened to be opp. the main road next to LIC.The colony had a huge boundary wall with two gates , with a water and electricity sub-station housed within. I was born here and spent 27 years of my life in this colony.Mallika Prasad
